The heart of Edgemead Daycare is built on family and experience
Vanessa’s Vision: As a mother herself, our founder Vanessa invested tireless hours into creating a “home away from home.” She transformed the traditional child-minding model into an educational one, empowering her staff to recognize the vital role they play in a child’s development. Vanessa founded this school on the belief that working parents deserve absolute peace of mind. As a mother whose own children attended daycare, she designed an environment that balances professional education with maternal warmth.
The Next Generation: In 2013, Vanessa’s daughter Shavaun, who spent her own school holidays assisting in our classes, opened The Learning Tree Educare in Bothasig. Today, Shavaun leads the way, while Vanessa remains a cherished part of our daily life (and our resident expert on concert outfits and school linens!).
Decades of Experience: Aunty Shana has been with us since the very beginning. Her wealth of experience provides moms with expert advice and the reassurance that their babies are in the most capable, loving hands.

Aunty Tracy
The glue that holds our daily operations together. From ensuring our toddlers are happy to managing communication with parents, Tracy makes sure everything runs smoothly.
She is also the familiar, friendly face for our Edgemead Primary aftercare students.
